Fabregas Reveals How Como Beat Man Utd 4–1

According to a report by daily post Nigeria on Thursday October 22, 2026, Como coach Cesc Fabregas praised his players after they secured a convincing 4–1 victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

The Serie A side impressed at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, with Nico Paz scoring twice to lead the way.

Anastasios Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón also got on the scoresheet, completing a memorable night for the home team. Manchester United managed one goal, but Como controlled the contest and claimed all three points.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle, Fabregas said his team had performed well but urged his players not to get carried away by the result.

He stressed that the squad needed to remain focused, with another match scheduled for Saturday.

“The team played well this evening, but we need to keep our feet on the ground and remember that there is another match coming up on Saturday,” Fabregas said.

The Como coach also took a moment to dedicate the victory to a member of the club’s kit staff, without revealing the reason behind the gesture.

“I want to dedicate the win to one of our kit staff. He knows why,” Fabregas added.

The result gives Como plenty to celebrate, particularly after such a strong performance against a high-profile opponent.

However, Fabregas’s comments made clear that he expects his players to quickly turn their attention to their next fixture rather than dwell on the victory.

For Como, the challenge now will be to carry the confidence and intensity of Wednesday’s performance into Saturday’s match.

Fabregas will hope his side can maintain its momentum while staying grounded, as he urged them to do after the final whistle.
