According to a report by Football London on Saturday October 24, 2026, Arsenal winger Christos Tzolis is reportedly approaching his return from injury, with the summer signing potentially rejoining the squad next week as Mikel Arteta prepares for several important fixtures.
Tzolis suffered an injury while representing Greece during the international break and has subsequently missed Arsenal’s last four matches across all competitions. He will also miss Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Everton.
However, Football.London reporter Ryan Taylor reports that the winger could return to the matchday squad when Arsenal travel to face Liverpool next weekend, provided his recovery continues positively.
Taylor also suggests Tzolis has an outside chance of featuring against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday if he makes sufficient progress over the weekend, although Arsenal are unlikely to rush his recovery.
Bukayo Saka’s recent injury has increased Arsenal’s need for attacking options, but the club reportedly remain determined to ensure Tzolis is fully fit before allowing him to return to competitive action.
Following Saturday’s meeting with Everton, Arsenal will have four more matches before the next international break, giving Tzolis several opportunities to regain match fitness and contribute to the team.
If the winger manages to feature against Fleetwood Town or Liverpool next week, he could also become available for Arsenal’s subsequent fixtures against Slavia Praha and Hull City.
His return would be particularly valuable ahead of a demanding schedule following the international break, when Arsenal are expected to face Newcastle United away and Borussia Dortmund at home.
The Gunners will then welcome Manchester City before travelling to Brentford and Tottenham, with a home encounter against Real Madrid also awaiting them during the challenging run.
Tzolis’ availability could provide Arteta with greater flexibility across the attacking positions as Arsenal navigate several demanding domestic and European fixtures.
However, Greece’s upcoming international commitments could present another concern if the winger returns to action before the November break.
Greece are scheduled to visit the Netherlands on November 13 before hosting Serbia on November 16. Tzolis previously started every match during the September-October international period before sustaining his injury.
Arsenal will hope Greece manage his workload carefully next month, allowing the winger sufficient recovery time and avoiding another setback during a crucial stage of the campaign.
