LA LIGA: Real Madrid Superstar Wins Man of The Match Award After His Brilliant Performance

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Sunday November 1, 2026, Jude Bellingham produced an impressive performance as Real Madrid defeated Racing Santander 3-0, with the England international playing an important role in the convincing victory.

The midfielder scored Madrid's second goal and was heavily involved in their attacking play, helping his team establish a commanding advantage before half-time.

Real Madrid started the encounter positively and took the lead in the 11th minute. Matteo Prati brought down an opponent inside the penalty area, prompting referee Jose Munuera to award a spot-kick. Kylian Mbappe stepped up and confidently converted the penalty to give the visitors an early advantage.

Bellingham nearly doubled Madrid's lead three minutes earlier when he connected with a lofted cross inside the penalty area. However, Racing Santander goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala reacted brilliantly to keep his header out.

The English midfielder eventually got his name on the scoresheet in the 21st minute. Arda Guler produced an intelligent pass through the opposition defence, allowing Bellingham to move into the penalty area before calmly guiding his finish past the goalkeeper and into the net.

His movement, attacking awareness and ability to find dangerous positions continued to trouble the hosts. Bellingham also remained a threat after the break, forcing Agirrezabala into another save in the 63rd minute after reacting quickly to a cross inside the box. His low effort towards the middle of the goal was stopped by the Racing Santander goalkeeper.

Real Madrid extended their advantage in the 36th minute through Yan Diomande, who produced a stunning long-range finish after collecting a rebound outside the penalty area.

Although Bellingham missed out on another goal in stoppage time when his effort was ruled out for offside, his overall contribution remained significant. He combined effectively with Guler and Mbappe while helping Madrid maintain control of the encounter.

With a well-taken goal, several dangerous attacking contributions and impressive movement in midfield, Bellingham was one of Real Madrid's standout performers. His influence in the final third makes him a deserving Man of the Match following the comfortable 3-0 victory.
