The achievement followed Nigeria's impressive 3-1 victory over Brazil in the semi-final, which secured their place in the final for the first time in the team's history. The Flamingos have enjoyed an outstanding campaign, delivering strong performances against some of the competition's top sides.
The record highlights the quality and depth of the Nigerian squad, with different players stepping up to make important contributions at various stages of the tournament.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi became the first Nigerian player to receive the individual award after helping the Flamingos secure a 2-0 victory over Puerto Rico.
Kanyinsola Yusuf followed after Nigeria produced an impressive 3-1 win against defending champions North Korea.
Oluebube Umejiaku became the third player to claim the recognition following her impressive performance against Mexico in the Round of 16. She also found the net as Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory to advance to the quarter-finals.
Favour Nkwocha was the fourth Nigerian player to receive the award after helping the team record a narrow 1-0 victory over Venezuela in the quarter-final. The result secured the Flamingos' place in the semi-final and brought them closer to a historic appearance in the final.
Awawu Bashiru completed the list with an outstanding display against Brazil. The forward scored twice in the second half to inspire Nigeria to a 3-1 victory and secure their first-ever place in the competition's final.
