According to a report by Barca Universal on Friday, October 23, 2026, Dani Olmo is reportedly committed to Barcelona and has no plans to leave the club during the January transfer window, despite being linked with a possible move to Bayern Munich.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that people close to the Spain international have indicated that he is happy with his current situation at Camp Nou. Bayern, meanwhile, are not actively working on a deal for the midfielder, with no negotiations currently taking place.
Olmo has attracted attention from the German champions because of his technical quality and ability to operate in several attacking positions. However, the reported interest has yet to develop into a serious transfer pursuit, making a January move increasingly unlikely.
The 28-year-old remains contracted to Barcelona until 2030, placing the Catalan club in a strong position regarding his future. Since returning to his boyhood club in 2024, he has become an important option for manager Hansi Flick, providing versatility as an attacking midfielder, winger and false nine.
Barcelona are expected to rely on his creativity and adaptability as they continue their pursuit of success across multiple competitions this season.
For now, however, Olmo’s main concern is recovering from the injury he reportedly sustained during Barcelona’s recent Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain. The match was particularly significant for the midfielder as it marked his 100th appearance for the club.
With the player reportedly satisfied at Barcelona and Bayern yet to make a concrete move, a return to the Bundesliga appears unlikely in the upcoming January transfer window. Olmo’s immediate focus remains on regaining full fitness and continuing his career in Catalonia.
