According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday November 7, 2026, Real Madrid produced an impressive performance to defeat Valencia 3-0, controlling proceedings through their attacking quality, excellent possession and defensive organisation, securing a convincing victory away from home.
Valencia initially threatened through Aaron Mayol, whose powerful effort tested Thibaut Courtois in the 19th minute. Their earlier attempt to score was ruled out for offside, denying the hosts an advantage.
Madrid gradually established control, moving the ball confidently and creating dangerous opportunities. Kylian Mbappe saw an effort blocked, while Federico Valverde was initially caught offside before eventually breaking the deadlock.
Valverde opened the scoring in the 28th minute, reacting quickly to a rebound before firing a low effort into the bottom-left corner, giving Madrid a deserved advantage.
Arda Guler doubled the visitors’ lead eight minutes later, meeting an excellent cross and directing his finish inside the right post, leaving Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski unable to prevent the goal.
Madrid continued dominating possession after the interval, creating further opportunities through Mbappe and Jude Bellingham. However, Dimitrievski produced impressive saves to prevent the visitors from extending their advantage earlier.
Valencia also threatened through Arnaut Danjuma, whose dangerous effort towards the bottom-right corner was brilliantly stopped by Courtois, preserving Madrid’s comfortable two-goal advantage.
Guler eventually delivered another decisive contribution in the 75th minute, slipping a perfectly weighted pass into Mbappe’s path. The French forward calmly lifted the ball over Dimitrievski to complete the scoring.
Valencia suffered another setback four minutes later when Jose Gaya received a straight red card following a reckless challenge, leaving the hosts with ten players during the closing stages.
Madrid comfortably protected their advantage until the final whistle, completing a convincing away victory through goals from Valverde, Guler and Mbappe, with Guler particularly influential throughout the contest.
