According to a report by Madrid Universal on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed his starting lineup for the La Liga clash against Valencia, with captain Federico Valverde returning to the side as the right-back.
Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen have also been named in the starting XI as Los Blancos make several changes to their team following their midweek Champions League win over AEK Athens.
Real Madrid head to Mestalla hoping to extend their impressive run of form to eight consecutive victories in all competitions. Mourinho’s men have been performing strongly in recent weeks and will be eager to collect another three points against Javier Aguirre’s Valencia side.
Valverde’s return is among the notable features of the confirmed lineup. The Uruguayan international replaces Denzel Dumfries at right-back and will wear the captain’s armband for the encounter. His presence gives Mourinho an experienced option as Madrid prepare for a challenging away fixture.
The visitors have also made adjustments in central defence, with Konate and Huijsen coming into the starting team. The pair replace Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao, who both featured from the beginning in the Champions League victory over AEK Athens.
Marc Cucurella keeps his place at left-back, while Thibaut Courtois remains between the posts as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. Mourinho has therefore reshuffled much of his defensive unit while retaining two familiar players in their respective positions.
In midfield, Aurelien Tchouameni returns after being rested for the European encounter. The Frenchman takes Eduardo Camavinga’s place and is expected to partner Bernardo Silva in the double pivot. His inclusion should offer Madrid greater defensive stability and balance in the centre of the pitch.
Arda Guler has also been restored to the starting lineup after missing the previous fixture. The Turkish playmaker will feature on the right wing, while Yan Diomande is set to occupy the opposite flank.
Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe complete Real Madrid’s attacking lineup as Mourinho’s side aim to continue their winning streak with another positive result against Valencia.
Real Madrid Confirmed Starting Lineup:
Courtois; Valverde, Konate, Huijsen, Cucurella; Tchouameni, Bernardo Silva; Arda Guler, Bellingham, Diomande; Mbappe.
