According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday October 30, 2026, Manchester United are monitoring Real Madrid youngster Alberto Ruiz after the 15-year-old midfielder impressed during Spain's triumphant campaign at the FIFA U15 World Cup.
According to reports, the Red Devils have identified Ruiz as one of the promising young talents they could look to recruit in the future.
However, Manchester United would have to wait until the teenager turns 18 before they can complete a potential move for him.
Ruiz is regarded as one of the most gifted prospects at Real Madrid's famous La Fabrica academy, having attracted attention with his impressive performances at youth level.
Born in 2011, the youngster joined Real Madrid's academy in 2019 and has steadily progressed through the club's youth ranks.
He currently plays for the Cadete A team, Real Madrid's U16 side, despite being just 15 years old.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Ruiz is also capable of playing on the right wing, where he likes to cut inside onto his stronger left foot.
His dribbling ability, shooting and creativity in the final third have made him an exciting prospect, while he reportedly idolises Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The teenager's statistics last season further highlighted his attacking qualities, having registered an impressive 34 goals and 19 assists for Real Madrid's Infantil A team.
He has also already made his debut for the club's Juvenil C side, demonstrating the confidence Real Madrid have in his development.
Ruiz recently enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Spain at the FIFA U15 World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, helping his country lift the trophy.
The Real Madrid youngster scored eight goals during the tournament, finishing as one of the competition's joint top scorers.
His performances reportedly attracted the attention of several scouts who were present at the competition, with Manchester United among the clubs impressed by his potential.
Nevertheless, the Premier League side face a lengthy wait before they can pursue a deal, as Ruiz is still under contract with Real Madrid until 2028.
The youngster signed his agreement with the Spanish giants in 2025, and the club will be keen to retain one of the brightest prospects emerging from their academy.
For now, Manchester United are understood to be monitoring his progress as they continue to identify promising young players who could strengthen their squad in the years ahead.
