According to a report by Madrid Universal on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, La Liga has documented 17 separate incidents involving supporters during Sunday’s El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The complaints include offensive chants, objects thrown onto the pitch and an alleged incident in which Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was struck by a supporter.
The reported incidents have now been forwarded to the Spanish Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission for review.
The events took place during Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou on October 25. Kylian Mbappe scored the decisive goal as Madrid claimed an important victory in the battle for the La Liga title.
Ten incidents linked to Barcelona supporters
According to La Liga’s report, 10 of the 17 incidents involved Barcelona fans. Several of the complaints concerned offensive chants aimed at Marc Cucurella, Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid and the club’s supporters.
The report also detailed disturbances that followed Mbappe’s second goal, when several objects were thrown from the stands towards the playing area. Bottles, cans, lighters and a vaping device were reportedly among the items thrown.
Although none of the objects made contact with Real Madrid players, the situation forced match officials to activate the stadium’s safety protocol for objects being thrown onto the pitch.
The referee temporarily halted proceedings for one minute and 20 seconds while an announcement was made over the stadium’s public-address system, warning supporters to stop throwing objects.
Another complaint concerned Camavinga, who was allegedly hit with a flag by a Barcelona supporter during Real Madrid’s celebrations in the 87th minute.
La Liga’s report included the incident, while Barcelona’s security officials reportedly identified the individual involved. The club is now expected to consider disciplinary measures under its internal regulations.
Seven incidents involving Real Madrid supporters
The other seven incidents recorded by La Liga involved Real Madrid supporters, who were accused of directing offensive chants towards Barcelona during the encounter.
The league also pointed out that the incidents involving Barcelona fans were concentrated in particular sections of the stadium.
The Spanish football authorities will now assess the complaints and determine whether disciplinary action should follow. However, neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid has been handed a specific punishment at this stage.
The report has once again raised concerns about supporter conduct during high-profile fixtures, particularly the safety of players celebrating close to the stands.
