Chelsea Confirm Interest In €50m Brazilian Striker As €100m Man Utd Mistake Ruthlessly Exploited

Chelsea are among several clubs monitoring Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque, with the Brazilian forward emerging as a potential transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer windows.

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Saturday, 7 November 2026, Roque's agent has confirmed that Chelsea are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who is valued at approximately €50 million.

The Blues are continuing to assess their attacking options as Xabi Alonso looks to strengthen his squad and provide greater competition in the forward positions.

Roque has attracted attention with his performances for Palmeiras, prompting interest from several clubs across Europe. His potential availability could make him an attractive option for Chelsea as they consider their future recruitment plans.

The Brazilian previously played in European football with Barcelona before returning to his homeland, where he has worked to rebuild his reputation.

Chelsea's interest comes amid continued discussions about their need for additional firepower in the final third. Although the club invested heavily in their squad during the summer, strengthening the striker position remains an area they could consider.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been criticised for overlooking midfielder Mamadou Sangare during the summer transfer window.

The report claims United's preference for players with Premier League experience prevented them from pursuing the midfielder, who has since attracted attention at Brentford.

Arsenal, meanwhile, could be forced to reconsider their traditional January transfer strategy if they want to sign Monza prospect Gustavo Varela.

The Gunners have reportedly been informed that a significant financial commitment may be necessary to secure his services.

Elsewhere, Manchester United have received encouragement over a potential January move for RB Leipzig captain David Raum, who could become available for a reduced fee.

Liverpool are also monitoring 17-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach prospect Wael Mohya as they continue assessing young attacking talents.

Chelsea's reported interest in Roque adds another name to their potential attacking recruitment plans, although no agreement has been announced.

The striker's valuation and competition from other interested clubs could prove important if the London club decide to pursue a deal.
