Premier League Table After Man City Lost 2-1, Arsenal Won 2-0 and Chelsea Lost 2-0

Aston Villa 2-1 Manchester City

According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Aston Villa claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Villa Park, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice to secure all three points.

Jackson gave Villa an early advantage in the sixth minute after being picked out by John McGinn. The striker controlled the opportunity and fired a superb finish into the top-left corner.

Manchester City responded by creating several chances, but Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki stood firm, making important saves to deny Rayan Cherki, Iliman Ndiaye and Abdukodir Khusanov.

Pep Guardiola’s side eventually found an equaliser seven minutes into the second half. Erling Haaland rose to meet Ndiaye’s lofted delivery in the 52nd minute and directed his header into the net.

However, Villa restored their lead just eight minutes later. Jackson completed a well-constructed attacking move in the 60th minute, sending a low effort into the bottom-right corner to put the hosts back in front.

City searched for another equaliser during the closing stages, but Unai Emery’s men defended their advantage effectively to secure a memorable home victory.

Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Arsenal continued their Premier League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Ezri Konsa broke the deadlock in the seventh minute, reacting quickest inside the penalty area to convert after a corner-kick situation.

The early goal gave Mikel Arteta’s side an advantage, although they were unable to add to their lead before the half-time interval despite creating further opportunities.

Everton attempted to respond after the restart, but Arsenal remained organised and controlled much of the encounter.

The hosts eventually doubled their advantage in the 68th minute when Gabriel Magalhaes rose above the Everton defence to head home an excellent delivery from Ben White.

The visitors struggled to find a way back into the match, while Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made important saves to ensure his side finished with a clean sheet.

The result earned the Gunners three important points and strengthened their position in the Premier League title race.

Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in Saturday’s London derby, with a Mike Penders own goal and a brilliant late finish from Mathys Tel giving the visitors all three points.

The contest remained goalless until the 77th minute, when Chelsea goalkeeper Penders inadvertently turned Mateus Fernandes’ corner into his own net.

Chelsea’s hopes of mounting a comeback suffered another major setback three minutes later when Cole Palmer received his second yellow card and was sent off in the 80th minute.

With a numerical advantage, Tottenham took control and eventually added a second goal in the 87th minute. Tel produced an impressive individual effort, getting past Chelsea’s defenders before unleashing a powerful long-range shot into the bottom-left corner.

Chelsea had opportunities to find the net before and after falling behind, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made crucial stops to keep out efforts from Palmer, Jordan Henderson and Pedro Neto.

Conor Gallagher also tested Penders in the closing stages, while Sandro Tonali failed to convert the rebound, sending his effort over the crossbar.

Tottenham remained defensively solid throughout stoppage time to preserve their two-goal advantage and complete an important derby win.
