According to a report by Barca Universal on Wednesday October 28, 2026, Barcelona could face disciplinary sanctions after La Liga reported 17 incidents during their recent El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid, including offensive chants, objects thrown towards the pitch and an alleged assault on Eduardo Camavinga.
According to Barca Universal, La Liga’s report documented 10 incidents involving Barcelona supporters and seven attributed to travelling Real Madrid fans. The findings have been forwarded to the Spanish Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission for further examination.
The incidents add to a difficult period for Barcelona, who suffered consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid before Lamine Yamal finished third in the 2026 Ballon d’Or voting.
Several offensive chants were reportedly heard from sections of the Barcelona crowd during Sunday’s Clasico. These included insults directed at Real Madrid, the club’s supporters and manager Jose Mourinho.
However, the most serious incidents allegedly occurred after Kylian Mbappe scored Real Madrid’s winning goal in the 87th minute.
Supporters in the Grada Gol 1957 section reportedly threw bottles, cans, lighters and a vaping device towards the pitch as the visiting players celebrated.
Although none of the objects reportedly struck the Madrid players, the referee temporarily stopped the match for one minute and 20 seconds while a stadium announcement was made.
La Liga’s report also included an incident in which a spectator allegedly struck Camavinga with a flag during the celebrations.
Barcelona’s security staff reportedly identified the individual involved, with the club preparing to apply its internal regulations to expel the supporter.
Real Madrid supporters were also mentioned in the report, with seven incidents attributed to the travelling fans.
These included repeated offensive chants directed at Barcelona, highlighting that the disciplinary scrutiny extends beyond the home supporters.
La Liga reportedly stressed that the incidents were confined to particular sections of the stadium, with the overwhelming majority of Barcelona supporters behaving appropriately.
The disciplinary authorities will now assess the findings and determine whether any sanctions are necessary.
No punishment has been confirmed, and it remains unclear whether Barcelona will face a fine or any other disciplinary measure.
The outcome will depend on the authorities’ assessment of the reported incidents and the applicable regulations.
