Galatasaray secured an impressive 2-0 victory over Stuttgart in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, thanks to a brilliant first-half performance that saw Alexey Batrakov score twice within the opening 15 minutes.
According to a report by BBC Sport, the Turkish side made a strong start to the match and established a comfortable two-goal advantage before the break. Despite facing increased pressure from Stuttgart in the second half, Galatasaray remained defensively organised to secure all three points.
Stuttgart had an opportunity to take the lead in the eighth minute when Jamie Leweling connected with a cross inside the penalty area. However, his effort struck the left post, allowing Galatasaray to escape an early setback.
The hosts capitalised on their opportunity in the 12th minute when Batrakov reacted quickly to a loose ball inside the box before firing into the top-right corner. Three minutes later, the midfielder struck again after receiving an excellent through ball from Davinson Sanchez. He moved past the goalkeeper and calmly finished into the bottom-left corner to make it 2-0.
Stuttgart attempted to reduce the deficit before half-time, but Chris Fuhrich failed to convert his opportunity after being set up by Deniz Undav.
The visitors returned with greater attacking intent after the interval, forcing Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir into several important saves. Undav, Bilal El Khannouss and Fuhrich all tested the goalkeeper as Stuttgart searched for a breakthrough.
Fuhrich thought he had scored in the 75th minute with an effort from outside the penalty area, but VAR ruled out the goal for offside. Undav also struck the crossbar as Stuttgart continued pushing forward.
However, Galatasaray successfully resisted the late pressure to preserve their two-goal advantage and claim an important Champions League victory.
