According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Barcelona recorded an impressive 6-1 victory over Alaves in the Spanish league, delivering an outstanding attacking performance that saw them score four goals before the half-time break. The Catalan side controlled much of the contest and demonstrated their attacking quality with goals from Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, Lamine Yamal and Anthony Gordon.
Barcelona made a strong start and took the lead in the eighth minute through Raphinha. The Brazilian forward received a well-placed pass from Fermin Lopez before producing an accurate finish that went in off the inside of the right post. The early goal gave the hosts confidence as they continued to dominate possession and put pressure on the Alaves defence.
Alaves attempted to respond, but Barcelona remained dangerous whenever they moved forward. Goalkeeper Joan Garcia also played an important role by making a timely save to deny Angel Perez from close range and prevent the visitors from drawing level.
The home side doubled their advantage in the 23rd minute when Fermin Lopez found the net. The midfielder collected a pass from Lamine Yamal, created space inside the penalty area and fired a powerful shot into the top-left corner.
Barcelona continued to exploit weaknesses in the Alaves defence, and Raphinha scored his second goal in the 41st minute. Fermin once again played an important role in creating the opportunity, setting up the Brazilian for another successful finish.
The hosts added a fourth goal during first-half stoppage time through Lamine Yamal. The young forward produced an excellent long-range effort that left Alaves goalkeeper Antonio Sivera unable to prevent the ball from entering the net. Barcelona therefore went into the break with a commanding advantage after an impressive opening 45 minutes.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Barcelona continuing to create scoring opportunities. Yamal completed his brace in the 64th minute with another well-taken finish inside the penalty area. The goal was reviewed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) before being confirmed.
Anthony Gordon also made an impact after coming on as a substitute. In the 81st minute, he received a pass from Rodri before cleverly lifting the ball over the goalkeeper to make it 6-0.
Alaves managed to score a consolation goal three minutes later through Mariano Diaz, who produced a powerful finish to beat Garcia. However, the goal came too late to change the outcome.
The 6-1 victory provided Barcelona with an important result in their league campaign. Their ability to create and convert chances throughout the match demonstrated their attacking strength, while the performance also offered encouragement as they continue their pursuit of success in the Spanish league.
