Premier League Table After Man City Lost 2-1, Arsenal Won 2-0 and Chelsea Lost 2-0

According to reports by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur recorded important Premier League victories, with Manchester City, Everton and Chelsea suffering defeats in their respective fixtures.

Aston Villa claimed a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Villa Park, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice to secure all three points for the hosts. Jackson opened the scoring in the sixth minute after receiving an accurate pass from John McGinn before firing into the top-left corner.

Manchester City responded by creating several opportunities, but goalkeeper Zion Suzuki made important saves to deny Rayan Cherki, Iliman Ndiaye and Abdukodir Khusanov. The visitors eventually equalised in the 52nd minute when Erling Haaland headed home Ndiaye’s lofted delivery.

Villa regained the advantage eight minutes later through Jackson, who completed a well-constructed team move with a low finish into the bottom-right corner. Manchester City searched for another equaliser, but the hosts defended their lead until the final whistle.

At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0, with Ezri Konsa and Gabriel scoring for Mikel Arteta’s side. Konsa broke the deadlock in the seventh minute after taking advantage of a corner-kick opportunity.

Arsenal continued to create chances but failed to add to their lead before half-time. Everton attempted to respond after the interval, although the hosts maintained control of the contest. Gabriel eventually doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 68th minute, heading home Ben White’s delivery.

Everton struggled to find a breakthrough despite creating late opportunities, while David Raya made important saves to preserve Arsenal’s clean sheet. The victory earned Arsenal three valuable points in their Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Chelsea 2-0 in the London derby. The breakthrough came in the 77th minute when Mike Penders inadvertently headed Mateus Fernandes’ corner into his own net.

Chelsea’s hopes of recovering suffered another setback when Cole Palmer received his second yellow card in the 80th minute. Tottenham took advantage of their numerical superiority, with Mathys Tel scoring in the 87th minute after dribbling past defenders and firing a powerful long-range effort into the bottom-left corner.

Chelsea attempted to respond, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made several important saves. Despite late pressure, Spurs maintained their advantage to complete a significant derby victory.
