Champions League Table After Man United Lost 4-1, Arsenal Drew 2-2, and Real Madrid Won 4-1

According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the UEFA Champions League league phase continued with several exciting encounters as Manchester United suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Como, Arsenal secured a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid claimed a convincing 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

The results have added more excitement to the competition as clubs continue their efforts to collect valuable points and improve their positions in the standings ahead of the remaining league-phase matches.

Manchester United endured a difficult night in Italy after Como delivered an impressive performance to secure a comprehensive victory. The hosts took the lead in the second minute through Nico Paz, whose powerful effort found the back of the net and gave the Italian side an early advantage.

United struggled to respond effectively, and their defensive problems became more costly after the break. Anastasios Douvikas doubled Como's lead in the 49th minute after receiving an excellent pass from Paz.

Como continued to dominate, with Paz finding the net again in the 57th minute to complete his brace. The midfielder capitalised on another defensive error from Manchester United, leaving the visitors with a significant deficit to overcome.

Jacobo Ramon made matters worse for the English side when he scored Como's fourth goal in the 76th minute with a well-placed header. Manchester United eventually found the net through Joshua Zirkzee in stoppage time, with Amad Diallo providing the assist. However, the late goal was insufficient to prevent United from suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat.

Meanwhile, Arsenal produced a determined display to earn a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in a fiercely contested encounter. The North London club opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Eberechi Eze finished a pass from Martin Odegaard.

Bayern responded through Alphonso Davies in the 35th minute after a move involving Harry Kane. The German champions subsequently took the lead in the 61st minute when Kane converted a penalty following a handball by Jurrien Timber.

Arsenal refused to give up and continued searching for an equaliser. Their persistence eventually paid off in the 82nd minute, when Declan Rice found the net after receiving an assist from Viktor Gyokeres to secure a valuable point for the Gunners.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid enjoyed a successful outing against RB Leipzig, recording an impressive 4-1 victory. Bernardo Silva put the Spanish giants ahead shortly before half-time, while Arda Guler increased their advantage seven minutes into the second half.

Kylian Mbappe extended Madrid's lead in the 83rd minute with a superb long-range effort. Leipzig briefly responded through Tidiam Gomis, but Yan Diomande restored Madrid's three-goal advantage after converting an assist from Brahim Diaz.

These results could have important consequences for the Champions League standings as the league phase continues. Real Madrid strengthened their position by collecting all three points, while Arsenal added one point to their tally after sharing the spoils with Bayern Munich.

Manchester United, on the other hand, missed the opportunity to improve their standing after suffering a heavy defeat away from home.

With additional fixtures still to come, the three clubs will be determined to secure better results in their upcoming matches as they compete for places in the Champions League knockout stages.
