Zak Brunt scored twice and missed a penalty as Enterprise National League leaders Boreham Wood cruised to a 4-0 win over Fylde.
The 24-year-old had gone four matches without a goal but should have doubled his tally for the season inside an hour as the home side extended their unbeaten start to 15 matches.
Harrogate’s win earlier in the day had briefly closed the gap to four points but Wood were convincing in their domination of opponents who have now won just two of the last six.
Brunt opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a low finish after being played through by Chris Bush and in the subsequent 12 minutes he missed from the spot before the hosts scored twice more.
Tylor Golden’s 40th minute header was followed by a powerful Jay Bird strike, with Brunt grabbing his second in the 54th minute.
