Arsenal have tightened their grip on the Premier League title race after extending their lead at the top to six points following Saturday's fixtures.
The Gunners currently have 27 points from 10 matches, having registered nine victories and suffered just one defeat in their impressive campaign.
Their latest triumph came against Hull City, where captain Martin Odegaard scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute to secure a narrow 1-0 victory.
Meanwhile, title rivals Manchester City suffered a major setback after losing 3-1 to Nottingham Forest, leaving Pep Guardiola's side struggling to keep pace with the league leaders.
City remain second with 21 points from 10 matches, having recorded three defeats this season. Forest moved to 16th position with nine points after securing their first home league victory of the campaign.
Brighton occupy third place with 19 points from nine matches, while Chelsea and Everton complete the top five with 16 points each.
Liverpool are sixth with 15 points, although they have played one match fewer than Arsenal and Manchester City.
Attention now turns to Sunday's five fixtures, which could bring further changes to the league standings.
Brighton welcome Brentford, while Liverpool travel to face Crystal Palace. Bournemouth take on Ipswich Town, as Chelsea prepare to host Sunderland, with all four matches scheduled for 2pm.
Manchester United will conclude Sunday's action when they face Aston Villa at 4:30pm.
United currently occupy 18th position with seven points, level with Crystal Palace but ahead on goal difference. Sunderland remain bottom with five points.
The Red Devils will be desperate for victory as they fight to escape the relegation zone, while Liverpool and Chelsea will be targeting important points to improve their positions.
Arsenal, meanwhile, will be watching closely as their title rivals attempt to recover lost ground.
