Bandari Welcome Three Players Back Ahead Of Gor Mahia Game

Bandari FC have been handed a timely boost ahead of their FKF Premier League encounter against Gor Mahia on Saturday, with striker Beja Nyamawi, goalkeeper Alain Ngeleka and Keith Imbali returning to the squad.

The Dockers will travel to Nyayo National Stadium for the 7pm floodlit fixture seeking their first victory of the 2026/27 campaign after drawing their opening two matches.

Charles Okere's side began the season with a goalless stalemate against AFC Leopards before sharing the points in a 1-1 draw with 3K FC at Mbaraki Sports Club earlier this week.

They now face a Gor Mahia team that has won its opening two league fixtures.

The return of the three players gives Okere additional options as Bandari attempt to end their winless start against the defending champions.

Nyamawi missed the first two matches after falling ill, while goalkeeper Ngeleka had been unavailable because of a knee injury.

Nyamawi's return is particularly significant following a previous season disrupted by injury.

The former National Super League top scorer is hoping to regain consistency and contribute to Bandari's campaign after spending an extended period on the sidelines.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Okere expressed confidence in his team's ability to challenge Gor Mahia, insisting that the Dockers would travel to Nairobi targeting maximum points.

"We are a big team, and Gor Mahia are also a big team. We respect them, but it is 11 against 11. Bandari versus Gor Mahia is always a big match, and we are going there to fight for maximum points," the coach said.

Despite the absence of a victory in their first two outings, Okere believes his players are making progress and can build on their performances.
