KCB FC have an opportunity to take temporary control of the FKF Premier League standings when they host Posta Rangers at Police Sacco Stadium on Friday afternoon, with a victory set to lift the bankers to seven points after three matches.
The encounter, scheduled for 4pm, opens Week Three of the 2026/27 campaign and presents KCB with a chance to move above current leaders Gor Mahia, who have six points from their opening two matches.
KCB currently occupy third place with four points and a goal difference of plus one.
They share their points tally with Mara Sugar, AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz and Shabana, although the teams are separated by goal difference.
The bankers have made a promising start to the season, showing resilience in both of their opening fixtures.
They began with a 2-2 draw against Nairobi United before securing a 1-0 victory over Mathare United, with the decisive goal arriving in the 88th minute.
That late winner highlighted KCB's ability to find a breakthrough when a match appears destined for a draw.
They will now be hoping to carry that determination into their meeting with a Posta Rangers side that has struggled to settle into the new campaign.
KCB will also draw encouragement from last season's meetings with the Mailmen, although the two clubs shared the spoils across their league encounters.
KCB won the first leg 1-0 before Posta responded with an identical scoreline in the return fixture.
A third consecutive unbeaten outing would strengthen the bankers' position among the early title contenders.
However, KCB must first overcome a Posta side desperate to end its losing streak.
