Arsenal have maintained their grip on the English Premier League summit following Sunday's matches, with the North London club continuing to set the pace in the 2026/2027 campaign.
The Gunners sit top of the standings with 27 points from 10 matches, having recorded nine victories and suffered only one defeat. Their latest success came through a narrow 1-0 win against Hull City on Saturday.
Brighton have emerged as Arsenal's closest challengers after moving into second place with 22 points. They secured an important 2-0 victory over Brentford on Sunday to strengthen their position.
Manchester City dropped to third with 21 points following their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest. The result dealt another blow to Pep Guardiola's side, who are now five points behind Arsenal.
Liverpool moved into fourth place after beating Crystal Palace 3-1 away from home. The victory lifted the Reds to 18 points, giving them an opportunity to remain firmly involved in the race for Champions League qualification.
Chelsea suffered a setback after losing 1-0 to Sunderland, leaving them fifth with 16 points. Everton occupy sixth position with an equal number of points.
Bournemouth climbed to seventh after defeating Ipswich Town 2-1, while Brentford and Leeds United complete the top nine.
At the other end of the standings, Manchester United remain in the relegation zone alongside Sunderland and Crystal Palace. However, United have an opportunity to improve their position when they host Aston Villa in Sunday's remaining fixture.
Nottingham Forest also received a major boost after their victory over Manchester City, moving to 16th place and improving their chances of escaping the lower half of the table.
With several teams separated by only a few points, the battle for European qualification and survival is expected to intensify as the season progresses.
