FKF Premier League side Nairobi United have completed the signing of Harambee Stars attacking midfielder Mohammed Bajaber as they strengthen their squad for the ongoing season.

The 23-year-old, popularly known as “Starboy,” joins the Naibois as a free agent following the termination of his contract with Tanzanian giants Simba SC in July.

Bajaber returns to Kenyan football after a spell in Dar es Salaam that was affected by injuries and limited his playing time. Despite those challenges, he made an impressive start in Tanzania, scoring on his debut in both the domestic league and cup competitions.

He also celebrated silverware during his time at Simba, winning the 2025 Tanzanian Community Shield and the 2025/26 Federation Cup.

Nairobi United have expressed confidence that the midfielder's experience and creativity will strengthen their attacking options. The club expects his ability to create chances, provide assists and score important goals to improve its performance in the final third.

His arrival follows the signing of defender Alphonce Omija, highlighting the club's efforts to assemble a competitive squad capable of challenging for major honours.

Bajaber developed his football skills at Starfield Academy in Parklands before attracting attention from abroad. In 2021, he earned a trial with Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland.

He subsequently featured for Nairobi City Stars, making 63 appearances and scoring 11 goals before joining Kenya Police FC. His contribution of seven goals helped Kenya Police secure the 2024/25 FKF Premier League title.

At international level, Bajaber has earned nine senior caps for Harambee Stars and scored three goals, according to the supplied report.

His memorable performances include a curling volley against The Gambia in a March 2025 World Cup qualifier and a brace against Lesotho in June 2026.

His return is expected to provide Nairobi United with additional attacking quality as the club pursues its ambitions in the Kenyan top flight.
