According to a report by Citi FM today being Sunday, November 1, 2026, Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC shared the spoils after playing out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their Ghana Premier League Matchday Nine encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The highly anticipated fixture brought together two of Ghana’s prominent football clubs, with both sides hoping to secure maximum points and improve their positions in the league standings. However, neither team managed to produce enough to claim victory as the contest ended with the points being shared.

Playing in front of their home supporters, Asante Kotoko entered the encounter with the ambition of making their home advantage count. The Porcupine Warriors were expected to deliver a strong performance and secure a positive result against a Medeama side that has established itself as a competitive force in Ghanaian football.

Medeama SC, on the other hand, travelled to Kumasi with the determination to frustrate their opponents and collect a valuable result away from home. The visitors showed their resilience and remained competitive throughout the encounter, ensuring that Kotoko could not have things entirely their own way.

Both teams managed to find the back of the net once, resulting in a 1-1 scoreline at the end of the match. Despite their efforts to secure a winner, neither side was able to find the breakthrough needed to take all three points.

The outcome means Asante Kotoko will have to settle for a point on their home ground, while Medeama SC can take encouragement from earning a draw away from home against one of the country’s biggest clubs.

The result also adds another interesting chapter to the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign, with both teams expected to continue their efforts as the battle for valuable points intensifies in the coming weeks.
