According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday, October 30, 2026, Manchester United are monitoring Real Madrid youngster Alberto Ruiz after the 15-year-old midfielder impressed during Spain's successful campaign at the FIFA U15 World Cup.
The Red Devils have reportedly identified Ruiz as one of the promising young players they could consider signing in the future.
However, Manchester United would have to wait until the midfielder turns 18 before they can complete a potential transfer.
Ruiz is considered one of the most talented prospects at Real Madrid's famous La Fabrica academy, having attracted attention with his performances at youth level.
Born in 2011, the youngster joined the Spanish club's academy in 2019 and has continued to progress through its youth system.
Despite being just 15, he currently plays for Real Madrid's Cadete A team, the club's U16 side.
Ruiz primarily operates as an attacking midfielder but can also play on the right wing, where he often cuts inside onto his stronger left foot.
His dribbling, shooting ability and creativity in the final third have made him an exciting prospect. The youngster reportedly looks up to Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe.
His performances last season further demonstrated his attacking qualities, as he recorded 34 goals and 19 assists for Real Madrid's Infantil A team.
He has also made his debut for the club's Juvenil C side, highlighting the confidence Real Madrid have in his development.
Ruiz recently played a key role in Spain's success at the FIFA U15 World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, helping his country win the tournament.
The Real Madrid prospect scored eight goals during the competition, finishing among the joint top scorers.
His impressive displays reportedly caught the attention of several scouts who attended the tournament, with Manchester United among the clubs impressed by his potential.
However, the Premier League side face a lengthy wait before they can make a move, as Ruiz remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2028.
The youngster signed his agreement with the Spanish giants in 2025, and the club will be keen to keep one of the brightest talents emerging from its academy.
For now, Manchester United are understood to be following his development as they continue to identify promising young players who could strengthen their squad in the coming years.
