According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Racing Santander after producing an impressive attacking performance in the first half.

Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande all found the net as the visitors scored three times before half-time. Racing Santander tried to fight back after the break, but Madrid defended their advantage to claim all three points.

Real Madrid started the match with an attacking approach and created several chances in the opening minutes. Arda Guler almost opened the scoring in the eighth minute, but his effort narrowly missed the target. Bellingham also came close with a header that forced goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala into an important save.

The visitors eventually took the lead in the 11th minute after Matteo Prati committed a foul inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot, allowing Mbappe to step forward and confidently send his penalty into the bottom corner.

Madrid continued to dominate and doubled their advantage in the 21st minute. Guler produced an excellent pass into the penalty area, setting up Bellingham to finish accurately and make it 2-0.

The Spanish giants added a third goal in the 36th minute through Diomande. After the ball fell to him outside the penalty area, the attacker unleashed a powerful strike into the top corner, giving Agirrezabala no chance of making a save.

Racing Santander showed greater determination after the interval but struggled to break through Madrid's defence. Mbappe nearly extended the visitors' lead in the 60th minute, only for his effort to strike the right post. Bellingham also tested Agirrezabala three minutes later.

The home side had a chance to pull one goal back in the 72nd minute after Aurelien Tchouameni was penalised for handling the ball inside the penalty area. However, the referee overturned the initial penalty decision following a VAR review.

Madrid continued to create opportunities in the closing stages, but neither side managed to find the net again.

The visitors therefore secured a convincing 3-0 victory, having effectively settled the contest with an impressive first-half display.
