Real Madrid Confirm First Signing Of 2027 In Transfer Blow To Chelsea And Man Utd

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Friday, October 30, 2026, Real Madrid have decided to bring Como defender Jacobo Ramon back to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2027, potentially disrupting the transfer plans of Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Spanish giants are ready to activate their buy-back clause for the 21-year-old after being impressed by his progress in Serie A.

Ramon joined Como from Real Madrid Castilla in 2025 for €2.5 million, with the La Liga club securing an option to re-sign him for a fee below €9 million next summer.

Reporter Matteo Moretto has disclosed that Real Madrid intend to exercise the clause following the defender’s impressive performances under Como manager Cesc Fabregas.

However, it remains uncertain whether Ramon will immediately feature in Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans or whether the club could consider selling him for a significant profit.

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly among the Premier League clubs monitoring the Spanish defender after being impressed by his consistent performances for Como.

Ramon particularly caught the attention of English clubs during Como’s 4-1 victory over Manchester United last week, further boosting his reputation.

Real Madrid’s decision to maintain control over his future could complicate matters for interested clubs, especially if the Spanish side demand a substantial fee before considering his departure.

The defender has also been identified as a possible long-term replacement for Antonio Rudiger, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s previous transfer arrangement involving Nico Paz highlights how the club can benefit financially from buy-back agreements.

Madrid sold Paz to Como for €60 million but retained an option to re-sign the midfielder for €80 million. Chelsea are also reportedly keeping track of his situation.

Ramon’s future could follow a similar pattern, although Real Madrid may prefer to keep him in their squad rather than approve another departure.

Any potential sale could also encounter regulatory complications, as rules restrict clubs from making a profit on a player during the same transfer window in which he is signed.
