Cole Palmer Becomes Third Fastest Chelsea Player To Score 50 Premier League Goals

According to a report by Opta on X on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has reached another major milestone in his career after scoring his 50th Premier League goal for the club.

The England international achieved the landmark during Chelsea's Premier League encounter against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, reaching the impressive figure in just 105 appearances for the West London side.

At 24, Palmer has become the third fastest player in Chelsea's history to score 50 Premier League goals, joining an exclusive list of former Blues forwards who reached the milestone in fewer appearances.

Only Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Diego Costa have achieved the feat faster than the former Manchester City attacker. Hasselbaink remains Chelsea's fastest player to reach 50 Premier League goals, accomplishing the milestone in 84 appearances, while Costa needed 85 matches.

Palmer's achievement highlights the remarkable impact he has made since joining Chelsea from Manchester City in September 2023 in a transfer initially worth £40 million.

The move has proven to be an outstanding piece of business for Chelsea, with the attacking midfielder quickly establishing himself as one of the club's most important players.

During his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge in the 2023/24 season, Palmer enjoyed an exceptional run of form, scoring 22 Premier League goals and providing 11 assists.

His impressive performances earned him both the Premier League Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season awards, making him the first footballer to win both individual honours in the same campaign.

He maintained his influence during the 2024/25 season, continuing to deliver important goals and creative contributions while becoming a central figure in Chelsea's attacking system.

Reaching 50 Premier League goals in only 105 appearances further demonstrates his consistency and importance to the team.

The latest milestone also places Palmer among Chelsea's most productive attacking players in the Premier League era, underlining how quickly he has established himself as one of the club's standout performers since arriving from Manchester City.
