Club Bruges held off a second-half fightback from PSV Eindhoven to win 2-1 on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, and extend their winning run to nine matches in all competitions.
Nicolo Tresoldi put the visitors ahead in the 25th minute, finishing a strong first-half performance from the Belgian side. PSV responded nine minutes after the restart when Kodai Sano capitalised on a poor clearance by the Club Bruges defence to level the match.
Peter Bosz’s side pressed for a second goal, but Club Bruges regained the lead in the 65th minute. Joaquin Seys sent Carlos Forbs through on goal and the Portuguese winger beat Matej Kovar in the one-on-one to restore the visitors’ advantage.
PSV created further opportunities to equalise, with Ricardo Pepi and Sergino Dest among those to test the Club Bruges defence. However, they could not find a second response.
Yann Sommer then made an important late contribution for the visitors, saving a dangerous free-kick from Esmir Bajraktarevic as PSV continued to search for a way back into the game.
Club Bruges left the Philips Stadion with all three points, while PSV suffered a home defeat despite briefly threatening to complete the comeback.
