Ghana face Mexico in FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival last 16

Ghana’s National U-15 Boys team will meet Mexico in the Round of 16 at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan.

The knockout match is scheduled to begin at 16:30 GMT, after Ghana secured their place in the last 16 with a 2-1 victory over Korea Republic on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Ghana took the lead through Abdul Aziz Issah before an own goal completed the scoring in their Round of 32 tie.

The result extended an unbeaten run which has seen the team score 29 goals in six matches at the FIFA Talent Development Scheme tournament.

Ghana had previously finished top of Group W with a perfect record of five wins from five matches, and carried that form into the knockout stages with another confident performance.

Mexico will now provide the next test as Ghana continue their bid to reach the quarter-finals. The National U-15 Boys team will go into the contest encouraged by their continued scoring form and results in Azerbaijan.
