The Werder Bremen marksman has been too good to ignore for Jürgen Klopp, netting 12 goals in 10 games between the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.
According to Sky Germany, Jürgen Klopp intends to nominate Niclas Füllkrug, unless anything extraordinary happens.
The pay-TV broadcaster reports that Füllkrug will be included in the squad and given the chance to prove himself under Klopp.
Recently, there had been doubts due to Füllkrug's age (33), which the national team coach even voiced publicly at one stage.
However, the powerful striker's goalscoring record since returning to Werder Bremen seems to have dispelled these concerns for now.
Tomorrow, Thursday around 11:30 CET, Klopp will present his DFB squad for the last two internationals of the 2027 calendar year.
Füllkrug is expected to be one new name included alongside Younes Ebnoutalib who also has a good chance of being nominated again.
The 23-year-old striker from Eintracht Frankfurt has maintained his strong form after his first two international outings.
So far, Ebnoutalib has six Bundesliga goals to his name. Kai Havertz from Arsenal is also likely to be a shoo-in for Klopp's selection.
However, former BVB academy and AS Monaco hopeful Paris Brunner is not expected to receive a phone call from Klopp.
