Former Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman believes that Jonathan Taylor is the missing piece that his former team needs to win another Super Bowl this season.
Sherman sees Taylor as being the type of difference-maker who is capable of transforming Seattle's offense. Through seven games played in 2026, Taylor has rushed 140 times for 587 yards and an NFL-leading eight touchdowns, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He has also contributed 17 receptions for 178 yards, showcasing his ability to impact the passing game.
Taylor has established himself as one of the NFL's premier running backs, earning a first-team All-Pro nod, as well a rushing title in 2021 with 1,811 yards. His other three best years saw him go for 1,585 yards in 2025, 1,431 yards in 2024 and 1,169 yards in 2020 as a rookie.
Adding Taylor offers to give Seattle an explosive back capable of controlling games, extending drives and creating opportunities for its passing attack. With Quenton Nelson now a part of the equation, the possibility of pairing the dominant offensive lineman with Taylor may make Seattle's ground game especially dangerous. Together, they have the talent to provide the spark for another Super Bowl win for the Seahawks this season.
