Three drivers have exceeded their permitted power unit allocations ahead of the United States Grand Prix. Arvid Lindblad, Gabriel Bortoleto and Franco Colapinto are all named in the latest FIA report, which confirms several component changes ahead of the Austin weekend.

The FIA has confirmed a series of power unit changes ahead of the first practice session at the Circuit of the Americas, with several teams introducing new components. While most of the changes remain within the permitted limits, three drivers have exceeded their seasonal allocations.

Arvid Lindblad has taken his sixth internal combustion engine of the season, despite the regulations allowing only four. The British driver has therefore exceeded the permitted allocation by two engines.

Bortoleto and Colapinto also exceed power unit limits

Gabriel Bortoleto has made the most extensive changes of the drivers listed in the FIA report, with Audi introducing several new power unit components for the Brazilian. Bortoleto has received his fourth internal combustion engine, fourth turbocharger and fourth exhaust set of the season. All three changes comply with the regulations, which permit four of each component.

However, the Audi driver has also taken his fourth energy store and fourth control electronics unit, exceeding the permitted allocation of three for both components.

Franco Colapinto is the third driver named in the report as exceeding his allocation. The Alpine driver has received his fourth control electronics unit of the season, one more than the regulations allow.

Piastri, Antonelli and Sainz also introduce new components

Oscar Piastri, Kimi Antonelli and Carlos Sainz are among the other drivers to receive new power unit components for the United States Grand Prix.

All three have introduced new power unit ancillary components, alongside Bortoleto, who has also made a change in this area. For Piastri and Sainz, these are their fifth such components of the season, while Antonelli and Bortoleto have moved onto their sixth.

Unlike the changes involving Lindblad, Colapinto and Bortoleto's energy store and control electronics, these replacements remain within the permitted allocation of six ancillary components per driver.
