Moore and O'Hare will relishing Sheffield United return

Both players are expected to start at Bramall Lane and Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has spoken highly of the duo as he strives to improve the Reds’ consistency in what has been a stop-start Championship campaign so far.

Welsh international Moore, pictured scoring against Sheffield United last season, is the Reds’ top scorer having netted five of the club’s 15 league goals this season.

“He’s had a good start to the season and it’s important now to keep him as fresh as possible and manage his training load during the week,” said Parkinson.

“He’s been robust for us this season and it’s good to see and don’t underestimate Kieffer Moore’s ability to stretch the pitch and run in behind himself.

“His sprint distance is always really high in the games; he makes a lot of good runs.

“Any player at the top of the pitch needs players around him, and when the ball comes in the box, we’ve got to have the bodies in the box to open up the space.

“If defenders are occupied with Kieffer, it opens up the space for other players to get chances.”

That could be O’Hare, who has yet to score for Wrexham - something that his boss has spoken to him about this week.

“Generally his performances have been good - Preston one in particular,” he added.

“I had a good chat with him this week. The goals and assists will come for him.

“He’s just got to concentrate on his general all-round performance and not get frustrated that the moments haven’t quite come for him.

“He’s been so close on a number of occasions, but his general play has been really good and his work for the team has been excellent.”

O’Hare is concentrating on helping Wrexham climb the table after an inconsistent start to the season.

He believes Wrexham’s position can change quickly if they can put together a consistent run of results, pointing to the unpredictable nature of the Championship.

“That’s what the Championship is. You need to put a consistent run together and once you do that, you go flying up the table,” he said.

“That’s what we’re looking to do now.

“The Championship’s crazy and I don’t think anyone could predict any of the results.”
