The UFC boss isn’t surprised that Dillon Danis sparked another brawl during his RAF fight week.

This past Friday, Real American Freestyle Wrestling hosted their latest event, RAF 14, headlined by a match between Arman Tsarukyan and Dillon Danis.

Prior to their match, the two took part in a press conference, where things erupted into chaos as Tsarukyan attacked Danis for mocking his teammate, Khamzat Chimaev.

Fortunately for the promotion, they avoided any chaos on Friday night as Tsarukyan beat Danis with ease, stopping himself from attacking the controversial grappler after the match.

White unsurprised that Danis caused another brawl

Last year, Danis was issued with a lifetime ban from the UFC after he caused a huge brawl in the crowd at UFC 322, causing an entire melee with members of Islam Makhachev’s team. The 33-year-old has become known for causing brawls with his opponents before and after their scheduled matches.

When he wrestled the aforementioned Chechen last June, Danis and Chimaev got involved in a huge brawl after their match, with members of both of their teams entering the mats in what was a huge skirmish. Tsarukyan has been involved in his fair share of antics outside of the UFC over the last year or so, too.

And so when Dana White was asked for his reaction to one of his biggest stars being involved in another brawl on Friday night, it’s fair to say he wasn’t exactly surprised. “What happens is, and in my experience, every time Dillon Danis shows up somewhere, there’s a fight that breaks out. So after the last one, we don’t need that aggravation,” White said at the UFC 333 post-fight press conference.

When the UFC began allowing their fighters to compete in other promotions, fans were extremely surprised. However, with the roster continuing to grow, it gives fighters the chance to stay active while not competing under the UFC banner. Despite that, situations like Friday night could potentially change the UFC’s stance on allowing their fighters to compete elsewhere.

Bizarrely, though, the UFC are allowing heavyweight contender Robelis Despaigne return to Karate Combat soon to defend his title, which is completely against the norm for them.
