Cole Palmer was shown a red card against Tottenham
Gary Neville admitted Cole Palmer should have been sent off moments before actually getting a red card in a feisty Premier League clash against Tottenham. The Chelsea star was only booked despite forcefully knocked Mateus Fernandes to the ground which sparked a brawl before leaving one late on Conor Gallagher to get a second yellow.
Upon watching replays of the first incident, Sky Sports co-commentator Neville said: "I think that could be a red. He's asking for trouble. that's not great from cole palmer. no idea why he's doing that."
Just a few minutes later, he was given his marching orders and Neville was in no doubt. He said: "That one is a no-brainer. Cole Palmer has lost his head. It's not a good challenge that one. Naughty, really naughty. 'What?' He knows what."
