Several big-name players could be on the move ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline.
A number of blockbuster trades have already gone down ahead of Week 8, the most recent of which came when the Tennessee Titans sent All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons to the Chicago Bears for a pair of first-round picks.
Several more deals are expected to be finalized ahead of the NFL trade deadline, which lands at 4 pm ET on Tuesday, Nov. 10, less than 24 hours after the final game of Week 9.
Ahead of the deadline, we asked Google Gemini’s AI model to predict trade destinations for five different NFL offensive stars, including Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley.
Taylor is the biggest name on the trade block ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline. The 27-year-old Colts running back currently ranks tied-for-first in the NFL in rushing touchdowns (eight) and fifth in rushing yards (587), making him a top-tier addition to any playoff contender.
Taylor’s pedigree means trading for him will come at a steep price. Analysts have devised that trade suitors may have to shell out two first-round picks for the star back, and Google Gemini predicts the Denver Broncos – who own their first and second-round picks in each of the next three drafts – will be that team.
Barkley’s future with the Eagles is in question amid a nightmare season that has seen him, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, and quarterback Jalen Hurts all miss time through injury, including Hurts being ruled out for the season after blood clots were discovered in his lungs.
Like Taylor, Barkley would add immense value to a team contending for the playoffs, which the Eagles (2-5) could technically still make if they make a surge to win the lowly NFC East. Despite the trade rumors, Google Gemini predicts the former NFL rushing champion will remain in Philadelphia beyond the deadline.
Cousins’ time as the Raiders’ starting quarterback is believed to be ticking amid the team’s four-game losing streak, with No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza waiting patiently in the wings.
Unless a playoff-contending team sees their starting quarterback go down injured in Week 8 or 9, Google Gemini predicts Cousins will remain with Las Vegas past the deadline and serve as Mendoza’s backup when the rookie inevitably takes his job.
Thomas Jr. has fallen out of favor in Jacksonville, and NFL teams in need of wide receiver help are targeting the third-year man despite his lack of production dating back to last season. Since his phenomenal rookie year (1,282 receiving yards, 10 TD), Thomas Jr. has fallen off a cliff.
A change of scenery, perhaps to Kansas City to join up with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, could be all he needs to resurrect his career.
Downs has already requested a trade away from the Colts, and the fourth-year wide receiver is widely expected to be dealt as Indy looks to build draft capital and turn the page to 2027.
Google Gemini predicts that Downs will land in Pittsburgh and team up with Aaron Rodgers, who is in need of pass-catchers as the Steelers (5-2) vie for the AFC North division title.
