Liverpool is back in Premier League action today, as the Merseyside outfit welcomes Arsenal to Anfield, in another huge test for Andoni Iraola and his group of players.
The Reds will be pushed to their extreme against the current champions, which will help the manager and the recruitment team learn more about the positives from the group, and where can be improved upon.
That may then be reflected in moves taking place in the transfer window, with preparations already being put in place for the side to begin making some key changes in the near future.
So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumors ahead of another busy day of action.
Alexis Mac Allister continues to face an uncertain future at Liverpool, with the midfield star now approaching the final 18-months of his contract with the club.
Links have persisted over a possible exit, with Real Madrid once again being rumored with interest. According to El Intransigente, Los Blancos are eyeing a deal for 2027, but one that may include players moving the other way to reduce any possible asking price from the Reds.
It's claimed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, Brahim Diaz, and Eduardo Camavinga have all been touted as possible options who could move in the opposite direction to help push through a deal, with an asking price set at €100 million ($112 million).
Liverpool.com says: While it is entirely possible that Liverpool would set a high price tag on any exit for Mac Allister, it seems slightly improbable that Real Madrid would be willing to meet it or offer players in exchange.
Los Blancos have been known to be willing to wait for players as their contracts dwindle, and with the midfielder's deal approaching the final year, not much leverage actually sits with the Reds to be able to demand such a fee.
It means the chances of a swap transfer seem unlikely, especially while Mac Allister's contract situation is still up in the air.
Liverpool is set to ramp up efforts to sign Ronald Araujo on a permanent transfer in the near future, after impressing the club, claims Football Insider.
The Reds included a permanent buy option in the loan deal with Barcelona for the Uruguayan defender, priced at around $62 million, which could be triggered as early as January, if not by next summer.
Any such move would require an agreement from the club, while it's unclear whether Liverpool would look to negotiate a move with the Blaugrana to reduce the potential overall transfer fee.
