James Trafford will be eager to have a game without blemish again against Tottenham Hotspur, in two senses.
The most obvious is that his poor pass led to Bournemouth's opener in their 2-0 defeat of Leeds United last week. But also, the last time he played Tottenham, 14 months ago while at Manchester City, he conceded a very similar mistake that led to a goal.
Trafford will be eager to register his second home clean sheet of the season. In front of him, the defence will likely stay the same. That will see Nico Elvedi dissect Tarik Muharemovic and James Justin within the back three with Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson at wing-back.
In midfield, despite his largely blameless role in Bournemouth’s opener, Ao Tanaka will likely partner Ethan Ampadu, who is a yellow card away from suspension.
Daniel Farke will be keen to stress the importance of not going into the book tomorrow with Chelsea away waiting on the other side of the international break.
There is more absentee concern over the attack. While Dominic Calvert-Lewin will certainly lead the attacking line, there are question marks over the wide 10 slots.
Anton Stach has not been at full fettle, partly due to a broken toe. Farke has said it is testament to his character that he has been able to make the bench rather than ruling himself out, having had to have injections into his foot to train.
He is a doubt for Saturday and so it is likely that Harry Wilson, who played well for an hour against Bournemouth, is given the nod on the right. As for the left, Noah Okafor missed the trip to Bournemouth with an adductor problem.
On Thursday, Farke outlined that Okafor is a major doubt same issue, having not joined team training this week. So it might be that Daniel James, who also performed well on the south coast last week, starts again on the left.
Leeds could see Joe Rodon return to the bench for the first time since August. The defender pulled up with a hamstring injury in the second week of the season, against Brentford.
He has been selected for the Wales squad but could be welcomed back into the Leeds fold first, albeit his chances of game time appear slim - not just due to the need to be cautious amid the nature of his setback, but also the general form of the current back line.
Predicted Leeds XI (3-4-2-1): Trafford; Justin, Elvedi, Muharemovic; Bogle, Ampadu, Tanaka, Gudmundsson; Wilson, James; Calvert-Lewin.
