Victor Wembanyama shared a playful soccer-inspired moment with an NBA referee during the San Antonio Spurs' 119-97 victory over the Utah Jazz on November 2, 2026.

At the end of the third quarter, Wembanyama began juggling a basketball with his feet before passing it toward referee Aaron Smith, who surprised spectators by controlling it with his foot and continuing the exchange.

The moment quickly circulated online. Wembanyama has a background in soccer, having played goalkeeper as a child in France. He finished the game with 12 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 24 minutes.
