Lamine Yamal has been criticised by Spanish journalist Pedro Martin following the tragic death of Tenerife footballer, Jesus de Miguel.
De Miguel was rushed to hospital on Monday after a heavy collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono during their Segunda Division clash.
The Spaniard went into cardiac arrest after suffering neck and head injuries. Owono was sent off and the match was abandoned amid serious concern for De Miguel.
De Miguel's condition was described as 'stable but serious' on Monday. However, his health took a turn for the worse, and he sadly lost his life on Tuesday morning.
"Heartbroken, with a lump in our throats and unable to believe this is true," Tenerife said in a statement. "There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can lessen this overwhelming sadness. We stand with his grieving family, with his loved ones, with all of Tenerife who mourn this cruel loss today."
Barcelona welcomed Aston Villa to Camp Nou for their Champions League clash on Tuesday evening. The La Liga giants ran out 3-0 victors thanks to goals from Yamal and Raphinha (2).
Yamal opened the scoring in the seventh minute as he capatalised on a mistake from Joao Gomes. The 19-year-old had a beaming smile on his face as he celebrated his goal by the corner flag.
Martin was not impressed with Yamal's actions following the goal. The COPE journalist believes he should have dedicated his goal to De Miguel following his tragic death. He said:
"It wouldn't have been a bad idea for Lamine Yamal to remember the Tenerife player, but he must be focused on his own things."
Martin's comments have not gone down well. 'What a disgusting and miserable human', one fan wrote.
A second said: 'I sincerely believe that it’s unnecessary to say this. Lamine Yamal doesn’t have to celebrate by dedicating the goal to Jesús de Miguel; that doesn’t mean he doesn’t remember him. Memory deserves respect, but it shouldn’t be used to hold a kid accountable for how he celebrates a goal.'
A third wrote: 'How miserable do you have to be to use the death of a 30-year-old player to attack one you don't like.'
While a fourth commented: 'It seems lamentable to me to use the death of a fellow professional of Lamine Yamal to throw s*** at him. You have no shame.'

Raphina looked more subdued after each of his two goals. He paid tribute to De Miguel after the match.
"Sorry, tonight I don’t want to talk about football. It’s clear that I want to dedicate this win to the fans, but I want to send a lot of strength to Jesus de Miguel’s family," he said.
“May he rest in peace. In the end, this can happen to anyone. The truth is that it’s very tough... when we saw the news this morning, it was complicated. I’m incredibly shocked and sad.
“In the end, you go to play a match, and the same thing could happen to you. From myself, from the club, we want to send a lot of strength to his family.”
Barcelona return to La Liga action on Sunday evening when they travel to the Wanda Metropolitano to take on Atletico Madrid.
