The chairman of the Dube Birds Steering Committee, Thulani Mayekiso, has responded to claims that businessman Walter Mokoena is unwilling to meet with the organisation as discussions surrounding the future of Moroka Swallows continue.

Mokoena, who played a significant role in the revival of Moroka Swallows, has recently been linked to concerns about his willingness to engage with the club's leadership. The allegations have raised questions about the relationship between the businessman and the committee responsible for overseeing the organisation's affairs.

However, Mayekiso has made it clear that the committee is not prepared to abandon its efforts to reach an understanding with Mokoena. His response suggests that the leadership remains determined to establish communication with the businessman, despite reports that arranging a meeting has proved difficult.

The committee's position indicates that it still considers Mokoena an important figure in the club's revival and believes that maintaining communication with him could be valuable as Moroka Swallows works towards securing its future.

The situation has attracted attention among supporters who are eager to see the club regain stability and return to a stronger position in South African football. Moroka Swallows has a proud history, and developments involving individuals connected to its revival naturally remain a subject of interest.

Mayekiso's comments also demonstrate that the steering committee intends to continue pursuing discussions rather than allowing the reported difficulties to bring the process to an end.

Although questions remain about when a meeting could eventually take place, the committee appears determined to keep the lines of communication open. Its continued efforts could prove important in addressing outstanding concerns and identifying possible ways forward.

For now, supporters will be watching closely to see whether Mokoena eventually responds positively to the committee's attempts to engage him. The outcome of these discussions could have implications for the club's future direction and its ongoing efforts to rebuild.

The steering committee's determination suggests that it is not ready to give up on reaching Mokoena, as the search for a possible understanding continues.
