Veteran Coach Advises Brayan León to Improve Finishing and Exercise Caution on Social Media

A veteran South African football coach who has worked with Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns has advised Brayan León to be careful with his social media activity as the striker continues to struggle to convert scoring opportunities.

The Colombian forward has faced scrutiny over his finishing, with questions being raised about his ability to make the most of chances in front of goal. His recent difficulties have attracted attention from football observers, who believe that improving his composure and accuracy could help him become more effective.

The experienced tactician suggested that León needs to devote more time to practising his finishing rather than allowing outside attention to distract him from his responsibilities on the pitch.

“Leon is therefore missing chances because he needs more practice,” the coach said.

The advice highlights the importance of consistent training for strikers, whose performances are often judged by the number of goals they score. Even forwards who possess good movement and the ability to find scoring positions can face criticism when they fail to convert opportunities.

For León, improving his finishing will require concentration, regular practice and confidence in front of goal. Strikers are expected to respond positively to difficult periods by working on their weaknesses and maintaining their focus during matches.

The coach's comments also raise the question of how professional footballers manage their activities away from the pitch. Social media provides players with a platform to interact with supporters, but excessive engagement can attract unnecessary criticism or become a distraction if it affects their preparation.

León will need to concentrate on his performances and demonstrate improvement when opportunities arise. Consistent contributions in the final third could help ease concerns surrounding his current form.

Although criticism is common in professional football, the most important response for a striker is to improve through training and deliver results during matches.
