Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has expressed his appreciation to the club's supporters while calling on them to continue backing the team as the Brazilians look to recover from recent setbacks and strengthen their pursuit of silverware.

The Portuguese tactician acknowledged the important role played by Sundowns fans, recognising their continued support as a major source of motivation for the players and technical team.

Cardoso's message comes as the Tshwane-based club seeks to regain momentum and maintain its reputation as one of South Africa's most successful football teams.

Sundowns have established themselves as a dominant force in domestic football over the years, with supporters expecting the team to compete for major trophies every season. However, maintaining those high standards requires consistency, determination and the ability to respond positively when results do not go as planned.

The coach's appeal for continued backing reflects his understanding of the relationship between the team and its supporters, particularly during challenging periods.

Cardoso will be hoping that the fans remain firmly behind the players as the club works towards improving its performances and achieving its objectives for the campaign.

For the Sundowns coach, the challenge is to ensure that the team responds positively on the pitch and translates its ambitions into results.

The club remains determined to compete for honours across its various competitions, and Cardoso will be under pressure to deliver performances that match the expectations surrounding the team.

With the season still offering opportunities to achieve major success, the Portuguese coach believes the collective support of the fans will remain important in Sundowns' efforts to bounce back.

His message is ultimately one of appreciation, unity and determination, with the coach urging supporters to continue standing behind the team as they pursue more silverware.
