ProSport International chief executive Mike Makaab has addressed Manqoba Mngqithi's departure from Tanzanian club Young Africans, amid speculation linking the South African coach with a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Mngqithi's exit from Young Africans has attracted attention in South African football, particularly because of his previous experience with Mamelodi Sundowns and his reputation as a tactician in the domestic game.

The development has also prompted questions about his next career move, with Kaizer Chiefs mentioned in speculation surrounding the coach's future. However, reports linking him with the Soweto-based club should not be treated as confirmation that negotiations or an appointment have taken place.

Makaab's comments have added to the discussion surrounding the circumstances of Mngqithi's departure and the possibilities ahead for the experienced coach. As head of ProSport International, Makaab is a prominent figure in football representation and has been involved in the careers of several players and coaches.

Mngqithi previously worked at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he served in the technical team and later took on the role of head coach. His experience with the Pretoria club made him a recognised figure in South African football before he moved to Tanzania to take charge of Young Africans.

His departure now leaves questions about his next professional destination, while Young Africans must focus on their plans following the coaching change.

For Kaizer Chiefs, speculation about Mngqithi comes as the club continues its efforts to improve its performances and build a competitive squad. Any potential appointment, however, would depend on the club's actual plans and discussions with the coach.

Until an official announcement is made by the parties involved, a possible move to Chiefs remains speculation rather than a confirmed development.

Mngqithi's next step is therefore likely to remain a subject of interest among South African football supporters as more information emerges about his departure and future plans.
