PSL Confirms Carling Knockout Cup Last 16 Fixtures as Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns Learn Their Dates
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially confirmed the dates, venues and kick-off times for the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup Last 16, with South Africa’s top-flight clubs preparing for a crucial battle for a place in the quarter-finals.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, provides supporters with a clear schedule for the knockout competition, which will run from Saturday, 24 October, to Wednesday, 28 October. Eight matches will determine which teams advance in the race for one of the most sought-after domestic cup trophies.
The opening matches will take place on Saturday, when Lamontville Golden Arrows host Chippa United at King Zwelithini Stadium at 15:00. Later that evening, Polokwane City will welcome Siwelele FC to Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00.
Sunday’s programme begins with Kruger United taking on AmaZulu FC at Mbombela Stadium at 15:00. Sekhukhune United will then face Richards Bay FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00, as both teams look to progress to the next stage.
The competition will reach a particularly exciting point on Tuesday, 27 October, when three of the country’s most closely followed clubs take to the field. Defending champions Orlando Pirates will host Milford FC at Orlando Amstel Arena, while Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Marumo Gallants to Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
At the same time, Kaizer Chiefs will face TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium, setting up an important contest for the Soweto giants as they seek to continue their cup campaign.
All three Tuesday matches are scheduled to kick off at 19:00. The fixtures have been moved to midweek because of the CAF inter-club competition commitments involving South African teams.
The Last 16 round will conclude on Wednesday, 28 October, when Durban City host Stellenbosch FC at Chatsworth Stadium. The match is also scheduled for a 19:00 kick-off, bringing the opening knockout round to a close.
