The financial worth of clubs participating in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League group stage underscores the increasing prowess of various African football teams, particularly those from Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, which are prominently represented among the continent's top-valued clubs.

As per Transfermarkt's data, Pyramids FC of Egypt tops the list with a squad valuation of €27.8 million, surpassing many established teams as focus shifts to the upcoming continental tournament.

South Africa's Orlando Pirates hold second place with a squad worth €21.7 million, marking them as the only South African club in the top 10, emphasizing their financial strength within the competition.

Tunisian club Esperance ranks third, valued at €19.5 million, showcasing its status among Africa's elite football teams, while Morocco's RSB Berkane follows in fourth at €17.8 million.

Egypt's Zamalek occupies fifth place with a valuation of €13.7 million, reinforcing its reputation as a key football institution alongside Pyramids FC in the list of the most valuable clubs.

Morocco contributes two teams to the ranking, with MAS Fès in sixth place at €13.3 million, highlighting its significant presence in the financial assessments of the group stage.

Algerian club MC Alger is seventh with a squad value of €11.7 million, while Tunisia's Club Africain claims eighth place at €9.2 million.

Tanzanian champions Young Africans rank ninth with a reported squad value of €4.8 million, indicating East African football's representation despite the substantial financial disparity with top clubs.

Completing the top 10 is Angola's Petro de Luanda, valued at €4.4 million.

In total, the ranking includes clubs from seven African nations, with Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia each featuring two teams. Orlando Pirates is the sole representative from South Africa, and Algeria, Tanzania, and Angola also have clubs in the top 10.
