Morocco are set to travel to South Africa as they continue their preparations for their second Group-stage match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The Atlas Lions will face Lesotho in Bloemfontein on September 29 after Lesotho were unable to secure an approved home stadium for the fixture. As a result, the match will be played in South Africa, with Lesotho officially hosting the encounter at a neutral venue.
Morocco began their qualification campaign strongly, recording a 2-0 victory over Gabon in Rabat. The result gave the African champions an early boost as they look to progress through the qualifying campaign and maintain their status among the continent's leading teams.
Their upcoming meeting with Lesotho will provide another opportunity for Morocco to build momentum and strengthen their position in the group.
Lesotho, meanwhile, will be looking to make the most of their home fixture despite having to play outside the country. The absence of an approved stadium means the Southern African side will have to host Morocco thousands of kilometres away from home.
With the match scheduled for September 29 in Bloemfontein, both teams will now turn their attention to preparations as the AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign gathers pace.
