Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given a clear message about his two big strikers. He says he loves both Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres.

Speaking recently, Arteta was full of praise for the pair. “I love Kai Havertz, I love Viktor Gyökeres a lot,” the Spaniard said. “He has a very different character to Kai, but he’s someone that you really feel close to.”

Arteta added that Gyökeres is a very important player for the team and promised that the Swedish striker will get his chance.

The comments come at a time when fans have been debating who should lead the Arsenal attack. Havertz has been a regular for the Gunners since joining from Chelsea. Gyökeres, the powerful forward signed more recently, has been waiting for more opportunities in the Premier League.

Arteta’s words show he values both players highly. He pointed out that while they have different personalities, both bring something special to the squad. Havertz is known for his work rate and ability to link play. Gyökeres is a more direct and physical presence who can stretch defences.

Many Arsenal supporters have been calling for Gyökeres to start more games. Arteta’s response suggests he is not ready to freeze anyone out. Instead, he wants both men competing and ready when called upon.

The manager’s open support for the two forwards is typical of his approach. Arteta often speaks about building a strong squad rather than relying on one star. He believes healthy competition helps the whole team improve.

For now, Havertz remains the preferred option in many matches. But Arteta has made it clear that Gyökeres will not be left on the sidelines forever. The Swedish international will get his opportunities as the season goes on.

Arsenal fans will be watching closely to see how the striker rotation works out. With two quality options up front, the Gunners have more flexibility than in previous seasons.

Arteta’s message is simple. He loves both players and wants them both to succeed at the club.
