Orlando Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza has paid tribute to Mandla Ncikazi following his departure from the club, expressing gratitude for the coach's contribution during his time with the Buccaneers.

Ncikazi has left his position as assistant coach at Pirates, bringing an end to his spell on the technical team at the Soweto giants.

In a farewell message shared by iDiski Times, Khoza acknowledged Ncikazi's service to the club and wished him well as he begins the next chapter of his coaching career.

“Mandla leaves with our gratitude and our blessing,” Khoza said.

The chairman's message reflects the club's appreciation for Ncikazi's work behind the scenes during his time at Orlando Pirates. Although the statement was brief, it carried a clear message of goodwill towards the departing coach.

Ncikazi was part of the Pirates technical team during a period in which the club continued to compete for major honours in South African football. His departure marks a change in the club's coaching structure as the Buccaneers look to maintain their progress.

The experienced coach previously worked as head coach of Golden Arrows before joining Pirates, bringing valuable knowledge of the domestic game to the club.

His next move will be closely watched, particularly given his experience in the Betway Premiership and his familiarity with the demands of coaching at the highest level of South African football.

Meanwhile, Pirates will have to continue their preparations for upcoming competitions following the change to their technical team. The club has consistently targeted success domestically and on the continental stage, making stability and effective coaching important as the season progresses.

Khoza's message provides a respectful conclusion to Ncikazi's time at the club, with the chairman choosing to acknowledge his contribution rather than focus on the circumstances surrounding his departure.

For Ncikazi, the exit could open the door to another coaching opportunity, while Pirates move forward with their plans for the remainder of the campaign.

The club's supporters will now be watching to see how the technical team evolves and what the future holds for Ncikazi after his departure from the Buccaneers.
