Monnapule Saleng Returns to Action as Mamelodi Sundowns Name Him on the Bench

Former Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng has taken a positive step in his career after being named among the substitutes for Mamelodi Sundowns, raising hopes that the talented attacker could soon return to regular action.

Saleng’s inclusion in the matchday squad is an encouraging development for the winger, who will be eager to regain his form and establish himself at his current club. Although being named on the bench does not guarantee playing time, it gives him an opportunity to feature if the technical team decides to introduce him during the match.

The attacker previously made a name for himself at Orlando Pirates, where his pace, dribbling ability and creativity made him a dangerous presence in the final third. His performances for the Soweto giants earned him recognition among supporters and established him as one of the exciting attacking talents in South African football.

His return to the matchday squad at Sundowns could mark the beginning of an important period as he works towards regaining his competitive rhythm. After spending time away from regular action, the winger will need opportunities to rebuild his confidence and demonstrate that he can make a meaningful contribution to the team's ambitions.

For Sundowns, Saleng's availability provides another attacking option as the club continues to pursue success in domestic competitions. Competition for places remains fierce, meaning the winger will need to make the most of any opportunity presented to him.

His return will also attract interest from Orlando Pirates supporters, who will be watching his progress following his departure from the club.

For now, Saleng will be focused on making a positive impression at Sundowns. Whether he receives playing time remains to be seen, but his inclusion on the bench represents an encouraging development as he looks to rebuild his momentum and secure a more prominent role in the team.
